Due to his alleged responsibility in the crime of trafficking, manufacturing, and/or possession of drugs, a judge from the municipality of La Apartada (Córdoba) accepted the arguments presented by the Prosecutor’s Office and issued a prison sentence against Gary Piñeres Farly Javier, alias The Mello.
According to the investigation, the accused would be a member of a criminal organization known as La Frontera that was involved in the sale of narcotic substances in La Apartada.
The evidence shows that the defendant, apparently, was the one who, for at least six years, controlled the drug trade in the area.
The defendant, who did not plead guilty to the charges, was arrested in an operation carried out by the Police and the National Army on January 18 in La Apartada. Alías ‘El Mello’ must serve the sentence in Las Mercedes prison in Montería.
Two people were arrested for these same facts.
