The Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, in the company of Deputy Attorney Martha Janeth Mancera; and the Delegate Director on Public Safety, Luisa Obando Guerrero, arrived in Florencia (Caquetá) and he delivered results on security matters and investigative advances.
The exhaustive work of prosecutors, CTI, National Police and National Army shows satisfactory progress in prioritized crimes such as femicide, domestic violence; as well as environmental issues public safety.
In the department, an advance in the clarification of 100% of the cases concerning femicides has been achieved; and in Florence, 80% of the cases of domestic violence have been clarified.
Regarding environmental crimes, an advance of 40% has been achieved. 12 operations have been carried out and 35 people have been arrested. 25 of them due to deforestation in the Amazon.
Criminal structures and GAOR
The Office of the Attorney General gave a hard blow against 13 groups that operate in Florencia, San Vicente del Caguán, Cartagena del Chairá, Curillo and Puerto Rico. 48 detention measures were achieved.
Among the organizations that were impacted are: ‘Los Lisos’,’ Los Flacher ‘,’ Los Operadores’, ‘Las Asesoras’,’ Los Gatos’, ‘Los Zorros’,’ Los del Río ‘,’ Los Pelusos’, ‘Los Recoletores ‘and’ Los Contratistas’.
Concerning Farc dissent, the Sectional Office in Caquetá and the Special Directorate against Criminal Organizations achieved detentions and prison sentences against 27 alleged members of these illegal groups.
An outstanding case is that one of alias Maneto, the alleged leader of the Miller Perdomo structure arrested on September 8th along with four alleged members.
Wilson Valencia Mota, alias Maneto, was prosecuted for the crimes of aggravated criminal conspiracy, illegal use of communications, manufacture, trafficking, or possession of firearms, parts or ammunition; manufacture, trafficking or possession of weapons for private use, restricted use of the Armed Forces or explosives; and illegal use of uniforms and insignia.
Another case is that one of alias Cerillo, identified as Elkin Humberto Díaz Valencia, who was recently sentenced to more than five years in prison.
