A judge in Pereira (Risaralda) imposed a prison sentence against four alleged members of the criminal gang ‘Los Santos’ who, apparently, were engaged in drug trafficking in public places in the San Judas neighborhood which connects Pereira with Dosquebradas (Risaralda).

They are María Ligia Zúñiga Castañeda, Miguel Ángel Grajales Cardona, Milton César Marín Castaño and Rubén Darío Pineda Castaño.

It is believed that the defendants, taking advantage of the geography of the place and its strategic access and exit routes, allegedly planned the collection, dosage, distribution and commercialization of coca base in different ways.

Those people implicated were charged by the Office of the Attorney General as allegedly responsible for the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime and trafficking, manufacture or possession of drugs.

The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges.
