A prosecutor of the Sectional Office in Atlántico brought 6 alleged members of ‘Los Petizos’ before a judge. It is a criminal gang known for trafficking narcotics in neighborhoods Universal in Barranquilla and El Parque in Soledad (Atlántico).
The Office of the Attorney General charged the defendants with conspiracy to commit a crime, trafficking, manufacture or possession of drugs, and illicit use of real estate and personal property. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges.
The investigation carried out by the Office of the Attorney general, demonstrated that those people detained had been committing the crime for about 10 years and distributed the drugs near educational institutions and residential sectors.
They were arrested by members of the National Police.
The defendants are: Héctor Fabio Jiménez Conrado, Pablo Enrique de las Aguas Peláez, Samir Antonio Pacheco Hernández, Junior Santander Orellano Miranda, Juan Guillermo Sierra Palmet and Héctor Enrique Jiménez Rojas. A prison sentence was issued against the first five people and the last person was placed under house arrest.
