Mauricio López Arenas, an alleged drug dealer and alleged member of the so-called Los Cocos criminal group that commits crimes in the municipality of Alcalá (Valle del Cauca), was sent to prison.
That was the decision made by a judge after accepting the request of the Attorney General’s Office.
By virtue of a court order, personnel from Sijín-National Police arrested López Arenas, and the Office of the Attorney General charged him in the preliminary hearings with conspiracy to commit a crime and trafficking, manufacture or possession of drugs. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
