The Office of the Attorney General obtained an arrest warrant against Julio César Fuentes Guerra, alias Ito, for being allegedly responsible for conspiracy to commit a crime. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges.
Fuentes Guerra, 31, was arrested on March 17th in the municipality of Acandí (Chocó) by members of Sijín-National Police, with the support of Guala- Army in Urabá. Investigators established that alias Ito allegedly arrived in the Department of Chocó in order to run away to Panama.
According to the investigation, the defendant would be the head of the Central substructure of Clan del Golfo in the rural area known as El Uno in the municipality of Turbo (Antioquia) since 2019 and recentlty, he was allegedly involved in the irregular distribution of lands in the zone where the aforementioned criminal structure operated, which would have caused internal problems with the organization.
These results are part of the strategy to combat micro-trafficking and drug trafficking networks, according to the guidelines drawn up by the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado.
