The inter-institutional team of prosecutors and judicial police is led by the Deputy Attorney General, Martha Mancera, who, accompanied by the Delegate Director on Public Safety, Carmen Torres Malaver, verified the investigative progress in to clarify the multiple murders in Samaniego.
At the very instant at which the Office of the Attorney General knew about the facts, investigative actions to arrest and prosecute the people involved in the murder of nine young people, seven men and two women, last August 15 at two different points of the rural area of Samaniego (Nariño), were carried out.
In order to invigorate the search of evidence and the identification of those people responsible, the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, formed a special task team that includes a special prosecutor, two prosecutors to support the labor, 12 investigators from CTI in Pasto, experts in crime scene investigation who will be at the scene in the next few hours, and officers of Sijin -National Police.
This group was led by the Deputy Attorney General, Martha Janeth Mancera, who arrived at the municipality where the events occurred and with the support of judicial and police members reviewed the investigative progress and the possible hypotheses about what happened there.
