In a joint operation coordinated by the Office of the Attorney General- Branch Office in Cauca and with the support of the National Army, two complexes used as laboratories for processing cocaine hydrochloride on the border area between the Departments of Cauca and Nariño were dismantled.
According to the authorities, the coca complex, apparently, belonged to groups that had links with ‘Clan del Golfo’ which commits criminal activities in the rural area named Policarpa (Nariño).
Members of the Antinarcotics and Special Tasks Group (Grupo de Antinarcóticos y Tareas Especiales) of the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) of Cauca and the National Army carried out the judicial proceeding last July 31st in a small town named Damasco.
In the first laboratory (150 m9, the authorities found 1,300 Kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, 528 gallons of gasoline, 1 power generator.
