Thanks to investigative and operational actions against perpetrators of threats and crimes against social leaders, a special prosecutor from Pasto (Nariño) brought Juan Andrés Muñoz Bados before the court for his alleged responsibility for the attempted offense of aggravated murder.

The facts took place on April 22, 2019, when the leader of the communal committee in rural settlement  Paso Feo in Curiaco, jurisdiction of Taminango (Nariño), was the victim of an attack committed by two people who used a firearm and were driving a  motorcycle through the urban sector.

The defendant was arrested on May 15 in the area of ​​Taminango by members of Dijín and the National Police Elite Group.

Muñoz Bados did not plead guilty to the charges brought by the Office of the Attorney.

 A detention measure was issued by a judge in order for him to serve a prison term in Pasto (Nariño).
