As part of the Office of the Attorney General´s commitment to protecting girls, boys and teenagers’ rights and with the purpose of providing effective assistance and protection to victims, several decisions were made concerning the investigation that allegedly links some members of the Archdiocese of Villavicencio (Meta).

1. The Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, prioritized the process and ordered to transfer it to Bogotá in order to be under the responsibility of the Office  Oficina para la Integración y Articulación del Enfoque de Género, Infancia y Adolescencia which belongs to the Office of the Deputy Attorney General.
2.  In this sense, the proceedings carried out by a sectional prosecutor of the Center for Integral Attention to Victims of Sexual Violence (Centro de Atención Integral a Víctimas de Agresión Sexual (Caivas)) of Villavicencio, who began the investigation, will now be carried out by the main headquarters in order to guarantee impartiality, independence, speed, and efficiency in the administration of justice.
3. An interdisciplinary team with specific skills, with experience, prestige and knowledge about sexual crimes has been created to continue with investigations.

It is of vital importance to the Office of the Attorney General to clarify those facts that would have violated freedom, integrity and sexual development of children and teenagers.
