The Office of the Attorney General opens an investigation against the Mayor of Bogotá, Claudia Nayibe López Hernández, for alleged violation of sanitary measure (article 368 CP)

The Office of the Attorney General within the framework of its constitutional and legal functions continues its work by determining those who fail to follow the protection measures ordered by the National Government to prevent the spread of Covid-19 (coronavirus).

In this sense, an inquiry was opened against the Mayor of Bogotá, Claudia Nayibe López Hernández, for alleged violation of sanitary measure (article 368 of the Colombian Criminal Code). A sectional prosecutor, with the support of members of the Technical Investigative Corps (in Spanish Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación CTI) will collect and analyze the evidence to establish her alleged liability.
