The Office of the Attorney General´s strategy allowed to bring alias Azul to justice, one of the main responsible for crimes committed against human rights defenders and demobilized former combatants in the south area of the country

With this arrest, the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado ratifies his commitment to defending human rights and clarifying criminal actions that endanger the integrity of social leaders and people in the process of reincorporation.

In this sense, the Special Investigation Unit (in Spanish Unidad Especial de Investigación UEI) was strengthened under the coordination of the Deputy Prosecutor Martha Janeth Mancera, which has yielded important results. 

A supervisory judge in Puerto Asís (Putumayo) issued a detention measure with imprisonment  against Abel Antonio Loaiza Quiñónez, alias Azul, accused of being the main aggressor of people involved in the process of reincorporation and social leaders in Putumayo and other Departments.
