Investigators belonging to the Delegate Office against Organized Crime of the Office of the Attorney General with the support of the army battalion (Batallón de Policía Militar de la Décima Tercera Brigada del Ejército Nacional) arrested Nureidy Manyoryt Montaño Muñoz, the alleged leader of a criminal organization responsible for thefts, threats and commission of other offenses in Argentina.
The woman who was arrested downtown Bogotá is considered one of the 5 most wanted Colombians citizens by Interpol. As a matter of fact, in October 2019 a red notice was issued ordering her immediate arrest in 194 countries.
According to authorities in Argentina (Juzgado Nacional en lo Criminal y Correccional de Argentina) Montaño Muñoz was the leader and coordinator of an organization that used firearms to commit assaults in different modalities, extortion, among other criminal conducts. Moreover, she was accused of selecting and locating potential victims.
