The Office of the Attorney General demonstrated in trial that the former head of the Judicial Police Unit of CTI in Chiriguaná (Cesar), José Luis Villalobos Contreras, took possession of some seized evidence that remained in a storage area and did not transferred on time other evidences that were under his supervision.
These irregularities detected occurred between 2013 and 2016. Also, two firearms and a cell phone which were in chain of custody are lost.
For these facts, the former public servant was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the crimes of misappropriation (in series), aggravated breach of duty (omission) and breach of duty in series (omission).
