A criminal structure which defrauded the Administradora de los Recursos del Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud (Adres)1, former Fosyga, and Seguro Obligatorio de Accidentes de Tránsito (Soat)2 was dismantled in the last hours by the Office of the Attorney General in Cali (Valle del Cauca).
As a result of operations carried out by CTI investigators of the Prosecutor’s Office in Cali, eight people were arrested. Among the people arrested, there are National Police officers, traffic officers, ambulance drivers, paramedics and civilians.
According to the investigation which began 24 months ago, the Office of the Attorney General was able to establish the existence of a criminal organization which admitted false patients in hospitals in order to defraud the State through Adres, as well as different insurance companies with Soat policies.
