The Office of the Attorney General, through its judicial police (Technical Investigative Corps)2 and with support from the National Police and the Secretariat of Security (Secretaría de Seguridad del Distrito) arrested seven alleged members of a criminal structure which encouraged the consumption and controlled the sale of marijuana, cocaine and synthetic drugs in one of the busiest educational environments in the city.

The group of investigators created by the Office of the Attorney General in order to prosecute drug trafficking networks which invaded the surrounding areas of the schools and universities, revealed a criminal network which represented a danger to the health and life of students and the young people who frequented the sector in the northern area of Bogotá.

Thanks to the awareness campaigns held with rectors of some academic institutions in Chapinero, some members of the Technical Investigative Corps of the Office of the Attorney General (CTI) informed about an area located in neighborhood Antiguo Country and sector El Lago where there are several universities and education institutions.
