Former public servant and a contractor of the Mayor’s Office of Rioblanco (Tolima) were accused for alleged irregularities in a contract for the construction of the rural aqueduct system

Before the courts of mixed jurisdiction* in Rioblanco (Tolima) the Office of the Attorney General charged Claudia María Durán Mantilla, former Secretary of Infrastructure of the municipality and Ricardo Andrés Chavarro for abuse of public function, document tampering  and embezzlement.

The investigation is related to those irregularities detected in a contract Nr. 286 of November 11/2011, in which the defendants acted as supervisor and contractor, respectively.

According to CTI experts of the Office of the Attorney General, assigned to the Unit of Public Administration, Sectional Office in Tolima, the embezzlement amounted to $ 23,069,350.
