As part of their commitment, the Office of the Attorney General in coordination with the 1st Division of National Army and with support of international agencies dismantled a criminal organization which was looking for investors interested in trafficking cocaine to different countries of America and Europe.
We are talking about the so- called operation ‘Costera’ in which the Technical Investigative Corps (in spanish Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación CTI) and Gaula of Army arrested nine people which stated they had the necessary logistics and enough people to traffic drugs in several ways.
For this purpose, the members of the drug trafficking network demanded in advance sums of money of ‘investors’ in order to cover the logistic costs of the operation and later, returned the profits to those who made a contribution to buy drugs purchased by the organization.
