The evidence collected by the Office of the Attorney General allowed the Second Circuit Court to issue a sentence of 179.2 months in prison for José Enrique Poveda or Manrique, alias Serpa, for the murder of two peasant leaders, and the attempted murder of another one. Facts took place on September 4, 2016, in the rural area of the municipality of Sucre (Cauca).
The Office of the Attorney General demonstrated the responsibility of alias Serpa or Manrique for the murder of the 36 years old Libyan peasant leader, Antonio Álvarez Moncayo, and the 65 years old leader, Martha Irene Moncayo.
