Interim Deputy Attorney, María Paulina Riveros Dueñas, and the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Jeroen Roodenburg, brought the cold cases and communication training workshop to a close. This course was delivered by National the Police of Netherlands.
The Interim Deputy Attorney emphasized that it is important to create a genetic profile bank for consultations in all criminal investigations and that it transcends beyond sexual violence cases, expropriation of property cases, human rights violations cases and armed conflict cases, as well as, to turn comparisons into a new way, almost obligatory, of every criminal investigation.
She also talked about the strong bonds of friendship with the Kingdom of the Netherlands that allows this kind of technical cooperation to fight against crimes.
Topics such as DNA implementation in investigations, relevant cases and experiences concerning media handling were shared at the academic event.
