A criminal network which smuggled more than two tons and a half of cocaine into Spain and Portugal was dismantled

11 people were arrested. Among them, seven Colombian citizens, three Polish citizens and one Spanish citizen.  The drug was hidden in vehicles in order to be smuggled into Portugal and Spain crossing the border. The person accused of sending the shipments to Europe was arrested in the city of Cartagena.

International cooperation between the Office of the Attorney General, international antidrug agencies and European authorities gave a third hard blow in the last week against drug trafficking networks in charge of smuggling cocaine into Spain and other European countries.

Thanks to judicial police activities coordinated by the Office against Drug Trafficking belonging to the office of the Attorney General, it was possible to identify a criminal network that smuggled drugs from Cartagena (Bolivar) to ports in Spain.
