The Third Criminal Court* in Antioquia (Guarantee Court) issued a preventive detention order with imprisonment against Mauricio Giraldo Garcés, Luis Alfonso Gómez Muñoz, Pedro Nel Trujillo Díaz and Luis Alirio Benítez Pulgarín for alleged possession of firearms for civilian and military use.

The above mentioned people were arrested on October 1st in a rural area named Buriticá (Antioquia) by members of the so-called Comando de Operaciones Especiales de la Policía Nacional (Copes), during an operation in helicopter aimed at detaining Neil Antonio Acosta Manga, alias Cole (42 years old), alleged ringleader of the so-called Clan del Golfo in at least 12 municipalities in the west of Antioquia. The alleged ringleader run away from the zone.
