Charges were brought by the Office of the Attorney General against former governor of Córdoba Alejandro Lyons Muskus before the High Court in Bogotá for embezlement and undue execution of contracts allegedly committed during his administration.
In a hearing which was conducted through videoconference, Lyons stated that he will admit his responsibility in the commission of criminal conspiracy without aggravating circumstances after a plea bargain with the office of the Attorney General. In the case of the remaining offenses, he will accept the principle of opportunity.
