Today, a meeting was held by a delegation of the United States lead by Matthew Levin, Office of Trade and Labor Affairs (OTLA) and Brenna Dougan, Labor Attaché, and María Paulina Riveros Dueñas, Deputy Attorney in Colombia, in order to share information on progresses in the fight against impunity in cases of violence and murder of labor unionists and violation of the right to associate.

Likewise, a follow up of a clause on human rights that appears at the Free Trade Agreement signed by both countries in 2011 was made. This clause allowed to know the positions adopted in regard to these issues about which it is necessary to make progresses in order to achieve the best results.
