A judge with supervisory functions (Guarantee Court) in Cartagena (Bolivar) issued a preventive detention order for former prosecutors María Bernarda Puentes López and Silvia Esmeralda Angulo for corruption offenses. They worked at the Sectional Office in Bolivar.

The decision also affected Yacira Obregón Taján, and her cousin Maurent Isabel Castro Taján, who were accused of allegedly belonging to a network that privileged criminals with judicial benefits such as release measures, home confinement, plea agreements with reduction of punishments in exchange of substantial quantities of money.
