The Office of the Attorney General charged José Elías Melo Acosta, former president of Corficolombiana with bribery and undue interest in the execution of contracts before the Second Criminal Court in Bogotá (Guarantee Court).

At the hearing which took place at the so-called Complejo Judicial de Paloquemao, the Office of the Attorney General stated that investigations are based on testimonies of directors and associates of the Brazilian Firm Odebrecht warning that briberies of public servants and private particulars were committed by this multinational in more than 11 countries of the continent.
