As a result of a joint operation between the Office of the Attorney General, Army and National Police, the criminal organization ‘Los Conejos’ working for the National Liberation Army (Ejército de Liberación Nacional ELN in Spanish ) was dismantled.
The 1st Municipal Court (Guarantee Court) in Yarumal (Antioquia) issued a preventive detention order against 7 alleged members of ELN´s support network (Red de Apoyo al Terrorismo (RAT))- Heroes and Mártires de Anorí Front operating in the Department of Antioquia.
Decision affected John Alonso Pérez Rojas, alleged ringleader of the organization; his brothers Erinson de Jesús, Rubén Alcides, José Irán, Eduardo Antonio and Lubín, as well as the former president of the community board in rural area La Milagrosa, Álvaro Antonio Arango.
