The 10th Municipal Court in Medellin (Antioquia) with supervisory functions (Control de garantías in Spanish) issued a preventive detention order with imprisonment for Leidys Johana Martínez Padilla (29 years old) for extorting a businessman.
Last August 8, the victim reported the Office of the Attorney General that for several months, a group of people that self-identifies as part of the so-called Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia asked him for 500000 pesos every month in order to allow him to operate his business which is located in Caucasia, a municipality of Antioquia. He was warned to hand over the money to a woman that was going to visit the store.
