After approving the preliminary agreement between the Office of the Attorney General and the defendants’ attorney, a judge hearing the case (Juez de conocimiento) sentenced Edwin Alberto Virgüez, alias Gurí Gurí; Brayan Sabogal and Alexánder Rangel, for criminal conspiracy, drug possession, trafficking and manufacturing offenses.
Sabogal and Rangel were arrested to 60 months in prison and alias Guri Guri will serve 388 months in prison. The three of them were part of a criminal organization denominated Los de la Plaza.
According to the investigation the above mentioned convicted people were engaged in selling marijuana (crispy) and cocaine base in neighborhoods such as Germán Huertas, Roberto Augusto Calderón, Villa Magdalena and Prado Dos which are located in the so called Comuna Ocho.
