Attorney General, Néstor Humberto Martínez Neira, launched in Bogotá an International Meeting on new strategies and priorities in investigations and prosecution of homicide cases which was conducted with the support of the University of Toronto.
The academic event pretended to exchange experiences and good practices on investigation into this crime. Professionals and investigators of this phenomenon which affects large cities are going to participate.
Challenges for justice in regard to homicides, sustainable strategies to reduce the rates, ways of prosecution, priorities in the judicial system, case studies and the role of “tactic criminology” and the academic investigation of violence and justice, among other topics, will be addressed by delegates of the Federal Police in Mexico, Public Ministry in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Office of the Attorney General in Chicago and San Francisco (United States), Canada and South Africa.
