“The office of the Attorney General is gaining strength in order to be able to deal with new challenges of post-conflict in all its forms” stated Deputy Attorney, María Paulina Riveros during the International Academic Conference on Criminal Policy and Prosecution in commemoration of the institution´s  25th Anniversary.

Deputy Attorney General also stated that 189 municipalities will count on the presence of the Office of the Attorney General for the first time and other 311 will be strengthened in order to increase the presence of justice in the country.

Likewise, the Office of the Attorney General prioritized 501 municipalities which have been historically affected by violence, in which it is necessary to restrain intentions of organized crime and increase justice to assure coexistence and public safety. Prosecutors will arrive there with their respective working groups. They were selected among current public servants working in the institution to immediately implement the new model of the Office of the Attorney General for the post conflict.
