As scheduled, Attorney General of Colombian held a meeting with the United States Deputy Assistant Attorney General, Kenneth Blanco in the city of Bogotá today in the afternoon. Both senior officials analyzed progresses made against corruption, specifically after the arrest of the former National Director against Corruption in Colombia, Luis Gustavo Moreno, whose investigation began in Colombian territory.

Attorney General Blanco reaffirmed his commitment to a binational cooperation in order to successfully implement investigations, information exchange and mechanisms to carry out Assets Seizure processes* of illegal proceeds of crime in both countries.

Likewise, both Attorney Generals reaffirmed the decision of enforcing convincing instruments such as extradition in order to dissuade people from corrupt practices.
