The Office of the Attorney General arrested alias el Canoso, an alleged ringleader of the so-called “Clan del Golfo” criminal organization, in the Municipality of Apartadó (Antioquia).
The arrested person who was identified as Miguel Ángel García González was allegedly the person in charge of ordering the murders, extortions and other criminal offenses on behalf of alias Braquets in the Department of Antioquia as well as the sector denominated Aguaclara located in the Municipality of Puerto Santander (Norte de Santander).
Alias “canoso” was charged with aggravated criminal conspiracy by the Office of the Attorney General. García Gonzalez pled guilty to the charges in a hearing and a preventive detention order with imprisonment was issued by judge.
