Charges were brought against an employee of the mayor´s Office in Quinchía (Risaralda) by the Office of the Attorney General since she allegedly took advantage of the fact that she worked as an administrative assistant to collect taxes of the municipality and embezzled $434´890.396 pesos between 2014 and 2015.

Luz Marina Castaño Trejos is investigated by the Office of the Attorney General for misappropriation offenses, document tampering, destruction, or concealment of  document. She did not plead guilty to the charges that were brought in a preliminary hearing before a Court of mixed jurisdiction (in spanish “Juzgado Promiscuo”) in Quinchía with guarantee functions (“control de garantias”) who issued a preventive detention order with home confinement.
