Preventive detention order for another alleged member of the criminal gang known as “Los Coiba”

A preventive detention order with home confinement was issued by a judge (Guarantee Court) against Carolina González Mendoza for alleged drug trafficking, manufacture, drug possession offenses and criminal conspiracy.

According to the investigations, the woman was part of the criminal group known as “Los Coiba” whose members played specific roles inside the organization such as weighing, packing and distributing drugs under the coordination of José Edith Conde Lazo, alias Chapulín.

It was also possible to determine that the criminal organization sold substances in municipalities of Tolima such as Ibagué, Chicoral, El Espinal, Guamo and Melgar.
