The Office of the Attorney General is investigating riots and kidnapping of two police officers in Nariño

Agreement was reached without consulting the Office of the Attorney General

The Office of the Attorney General will continue investigating people responsible for the riots which led to a police officer´s death, the kidnapping of 12 colleagues and caused wounds to four people in the municipality of Llorente (Nariño) last week.

The Office of the Attorney General considers that the agreement reached by the community and representatives of Non-governmental Organizations contradicts the Constitution, since nobody in Colombia different from the Attorney General can exercise criminal prosecution.
