The Office of the Attorney General encourages citizens to file their complaints at the so called “Unidades de Reacción Inmediata –URI” 1 as well as “Casas de Justicia”2which are located in different areas of the city and also  prepared to receive criminal complaints concerning robberies committed within SITP public transport.

The director of Sectional Prosecutor´s Offices in Bogotá, Carmen Torres Malaver, stated that it is important to Law Enforcement Agencies that Bogotá´s citizens file complaints since it is a key aspect to prosecute people who commit these crimes.

 

  1. URI (Unidades de Reacción Inmediata). These units offer constant service to public by making easier the access to law enforcement. The units give a timely answer to the community needs.
  2. Casas de Justicia. Places where information and assistance is provided in regards to conflict resolution. Mechanisms which promote tolerance and citizens’ coexistence are implemented.
