For the purpose of disseminating the content and the scope of the New Abbreviated Criminal Procedure Law and “acusador privado” ( Law 1826 of 2017), the Office of the Attorney General invites prosecutors, investigators, academics and civils to attend the first of five forums that have been scheduled.
Professors from prestigious universities in Colombia and Spain, representatives from the judiciary, from the government and public servants from the Office of the Attorney General will participate in this academic event, among other personalities from the judicial word in our country.
*Acusador privado: it refers to a private person (victim) that can file criminal complaints or charges against others for misdemeanor crimes, without the police or the prosecutor’s office being involved. Private Person should be represented by a lawyer.
