A meeting between the Attorney General, Néstor Humberto Martínez Neira and his counterpart in Spain, José Manuel Maza Martín aimed at strengthening the bilateral cooperation ties, particularly in matters of the fight against transnational organized crime, corruption and prosecution of properties derived from crime.

Within the framework of this meeting, the purpose of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the General Prosecutor in Colombia and Spain was summed up.  It consists in strengthening and expediting the international judicial cooperation in transnational crimes. This agreement will be signed within the first three months of this year.

Deputy Attorney, María Paulina Riveros Dueñas, and public servants with managerial positions in the institution and a delegation from the Embassy of Spain in Colombia also attended the meeting.
