On September 2011, in Playa de Muerto – Provincia del Darién (Panamá), an operation was carried out at international waters by coast guards from the United States with the support of the investigative Unit (Unidad Investigativa SIU Pacífico de Colombia) and DEA.

As a result, a vessel named Niña Wendy was immobilized and therefore, 158 kilos of cocaine were seized.

Drugs were smuggled aboard Go Fast boats by a drug trafficking organization and handed out to several vessels that were in the open sea in order to be sent to Centro American countries and the United States.

Eighteen people belonged to this organization. Eleven of them have been arrested during the investigation. They are wanted with a view to extradition by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (United States).
