The Sectional Office in Nariño with the support of judicial police authorities from the Criminal Investigation Team (CTI) arrested 46 people who were part of criminal organizations. Criminal charges include aggravated robbery, manufacture, trafficking and drugs possession, aggravated murder and illegal possession of firearms.
These arrests were conducted in Pasto, Tumaco, Ipiales, Sandoná and small towns such as Guyacana and Altaquer in Nariño.
Defendants allegedly belonged to organizations known as “Los Palomos”, “Los Cholos”, “Los Chorros”, “La Nueva Gente”, “Los Botas” or “Los Malosos”, “Los Pájaros”, “Los Macacos” and “Los Pastusos”.
These organizations were involved in illegal activities such as drug trafficking, kidnappings, extortions and threats.
