In a first meeting between the Office of the Attorney General and civil organizations which are experts in domestic violence, the Interim Attorney General, María Paulina Riveros, presented a strategy to investigate and prosecute domestic violence in the country.
It is a preliminary proposal which aims at strengthening itself with the support of these organizations and public and private entities which are part of the assistance process for victims of domestic violence considering that it had the largest increase in 2016 and has been ranked number 3 as the offense of most occurrence after theft and personal injuries.
