Three crew members (two from Ecuador and one from Guatemala) aboard a motor vessel named “El Faraón”, which was seized, were prosecuted since they were transporting gas and apparently cocaine hydrochloride in waters of the Pacific Ocean near Tumaco (Nariño).
This motor vessel was seized last October 28th by the National Office which coordinates Special Judicial Police authorities in coordination with Colombian Navy when they determined that the vessel departed from Tumaco to the open sea. Once the Coast Guard carried out an inspection, 272 fuel gallons were found. They also found 360 kilos of Cocaine Hydrochloride inside nine (9) sacks with a satellite tracker.
