Attorney General and judicial Authorities from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland made progress on cooperation issues

As part of the bilateral agenda with authorities from the United Kingdom, Attorney General Néstor Humberto Martínez Neira  held several meetings with Amber Rudd, Home Secretary of the United Kingdom; Alison Saunders, Director of Public Prosecutions and David Armond, Deputy Director General of National Crime Agency NCA  in order to strengthen cooperation ties in criminal matters.

As a result of these meetings which took place during the visit of the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, an official visit of the Director of Public Prosecutions Alison Saunders and the NCA Director General, Lynne Owens has been scheduled by the end of this month to the Office of the Attorney in Colombia.

These meetings were mainly focused on the effective fight against the organized crime, corruption and forfeiture of assets derived from illegal activities.
