223 billion pesos worth of properties belonging to “Clan del Golfo” were seized in five Departments

Thirteen prosecutors assigned to the Office of Assets Forfeiture at the Office of the Attorney General, its Special Judicial Police in cooperation with Army and National Police seized 74 properties belonging to the so called “Clan del Golfo”.

This operation is related to 59 properties, 13 luxury vehicles, 2 gas stations and livestock in places like Necoclí, Turbo, Carepa, Chigorodó, Medellín (Antioquia), Cartagena (Bolívar), Cali (Valle del Cauca), Chimichagua (Cesar) and Ciénaga de Oro (Córdoba). These operations let them to identify the strategic highway corridor used by the so called “Clan del Golfo” in order to transport cocaine abroad and import weapons to the country.
