A preventive detention order was issued for two people involved in human trafficking offenses with some native people in Vaupés

Preventive detention orders were issued for Lenin de Jesús Echeverry Castañeda and Fanny Mireya Ardila Pizarro after the Office of the Attorney General charged them with human trafficking and sexual violence offenses.

Facts took place on November 2015 and February 2016 in Mitú (Vaupés) when Ardila Pizarro took three female minors (15, 16 and 17 years old) away from the indigenous community San Antonio de Yapú without permission of their parents. Minors had to walk to the woman´s house for three days. There, they were forced to have sex with men in return for money.
