A preventive detention order was issued against the alleged people who used to break glasses of vehicles in order to steal objects in the north area of Bogotá

At the request of the Sectional Office of Prosecutor´s Offices in Bogotá, the 67^th Criminal Court with supervisory functions “control de garantías” ordered a preventive detention order with imprisonment against 6 people who allegedly attacked vehicles in the so called avenue “Avenida Circunvalar” in order to steal the occupants’ belongings.

Facts took place from January to May/ 2016, between avenues 2^nd and 7^th and streets 32 and 72, north area of Bogotá where defendants enclosed vehicles, broke their glasses and took people´s belongings by threating them with death.

Defendants were identified as Felipe Andrés Silva Forero, Jefferson Alex Caro Pinto, Eder Jofre Reyes Sandoval, Luis Reyes Ramírez Benavidez and Miguel Ángel Tovar Vaca. The Office of the Attorney General charged them for their alleged participation in the commission of aggravated criminal conspiracy in combination with aggravated robbery and manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms or ammunitions.
