The 98th Sectional Office in Cali filed a bill of indictment against 23 people for the alleged commission of embezzlement, procedural fraud and inserting false statements in a public document. This is related to an investigation which is carried out pursuant Law 600.
This decision was based on inconsistencies in scholarships awarded by Empresas Municipales de Cali (Emcali) between 2004 and 2005. They amounted to 5 billion pesos.
