Files from “La Modelo” prison are examined by the Office of the Attorney General in order to corroborate complaints about disappearances

Ninety public servants which include CTI* investigators, prosecutors from the Transitional Justice National Unit and the Investigations Division from Dijin are conducting a judicial inspection in “La Modelo” prison.

CTI Director,Julián Quintana, stated that the purpose is to corroborate information provided by demobilized people from Justice and Peace Law which indicates that from 1999 to 2003 a number of individuals disappeared from the penitentiary center during the internal conflict between Bloque Capital (Capital Bloc) from United Self Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC) and Farc members.
