The Office of the Attorney General makes progress on clarifying the murder of two indigenous leaders who were alleged victims of ELN

The Office of the Attorney General carried out the exhumation of two indigenous leaders from Embera Dóvida ethnic group with the support of National Army in Alto Baudó (Chocó). Their remains will be handed over to their families in a special ceremony.

In September 12, 2014 Emilio Pacheco Durán, president of  Organización Indígena del Chocó (OICH), and Miguel Becheche, president of  Asociación de Cabildos Indígenas del Alto Baudó (Aciab) were murdered when they were aboard a boat in order to hold a meeting with indigenous leaders in a sector denominated El Morro in Chocó.
